The inspection program conducted by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) team for the Mechanical Engineering branch of Proddutur, Government Polytechnic College concluded on Sunday. Over the last three days, the NBA team meticulously examined ten sections.

The inspection program conducted by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) team for the Mechanical Engineering branch of Proddatur, Government Polytechnic College concluded on Sunday. Over the last three days, the NBA team meticulously examined ten sections.
The NBA team expressed complete satisfaction with the inspections, indicating that if the Mechanical Engineering branch receives recognition from the NBA, it stands to gain substantial funds and subsidies from the central government. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering students will receive preference in campus selections.
Following the inspection, the NBA team’s chairman, Dr. Rajeev, convened a meeting with the Mechanical branch staff. During this gathering, he stated that out of the ten sections inspected, all were deemed satisfactory.Dr. Rajeev congratulated the former students who contributed to the development of the college by spending 70 lakh.He also emphasized the importance of enhancing placements and fostering strong relationships with local industries.
The inspected sections included Staff Facilities, Hostel Facilities, Workshop Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Communication Lab, Hydraulic Lab, Material Testing Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, E.N.C lab, Computer Numerical Control Mission Lab, CAD Lab, and Computer Lab, all of which were found to meet the NBA’s standards. The team also visited the activities playground supervised by the physical director, expressing full satisfaction with its facilities.
Furthermore, the NBA team recommended maintaining ties with local industries such as Bharathi Cement Factory, Shirdi Sai Dixon, and Century Bly.
Dr. Jagadiswarudu, Principal of Government Proddatur Polytechnic College, conveyed his gratitude to the NBA team and the Mechanical Engineering Branch staff for their cooperation during the inspection. He also extended appreciation to past alumni, particularly Gurumurthy, for their contributions to the college’s modernization efforts.
Looking ahead, the NBA will conduct inspections for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branches in the near future. Dr. Jagadiswarudu urged the respective staff to be prepared for these upcoming evaluations.
