Piler, September 5(Jaanam News): As part of the “Meri Matti Mera Desh” programme, “Matti Ka Naman” program was grandly organized in the premises of the local Sri Kashi Visvesvara temple under the auspices of Chittoor Nehru Yuva Kendra* in collaboration with the local *ZP High (Main) School and ‘SHE’ organization. Soil was collected from the temple premises. Also, handfuls of soil were collected from the houses of the villagers of the village. Nehru Yuva Kendra State (AP and Telangana) Director AR Vijaya Rao, Nehru Yuva Kendra Chittoor District Youth Officer B.Pradeep Kumar were the chief guests of this program.Speaking on the occasion, they said that this campaign is being organized to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country.They said that it will be conducted at village, block, district, state and national levels across the country.They said that the collected soil will be laid in the garden of the newly constructed Parliament premises in New Delhi, our capital.They said that the concluding festivities will be celebrated as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program.As part of the programme, soil donated by the villagers and school management was embedded in an urn. Also “Punch Pran” pledge was taken by all the students.In this program Dr. PVS Lakshmi Sudhakar Rayalu, Head Master of local ZP High (Main) School, R.Surendra Natha Reddy, teacher Reddappa, school students and village people participated.
